On Saturday 8th June, Players Show made the trip from North Weald Airfield to the famous Goodwood Circuit for a new show: Players Classic.
I’ve covered a lot of car shows and meets over the years but this was my first visit to any of the Players events and the level of quality on display blew me away.
There are no club stands here. Your car is either hand picked to be in the showcase, or you’re left out in the car park.
Speedhunters were in residence in the paddock area drawing big crowds all day with two of their drivers.
Aston Martin brought along a couple toys too.
Commentator extroadinare Bryn also had his infamous Volvo in the paddock.
Mike Mike was on hand in the “Bad Bull” RX-8 to take part in the drift demo alongside Fredric Aasbø in his epic GT-86
This was the first time drifting has been allowed on the hallowed circuit and Fred and Mike made the most of it!
The show is VAG heavy but there were still some classics on show.
The sponsors put on a good showing to, with Forge bringing their bonkers Golf.
And Airlift Performance supplied the lows.
