The Drift Allstars 2011 finals was the biggest event we had covered at the time. Being the final, there was no shortage of drifting talent from across Europe. This event also teamed up with Hellaflush to bring the spectators some scene cars to see between the action!
As soon as we arrived, I got my camera straight out and began snapping away, there was the odd car out on track practicing and plenty of activity around the pits. Here’s James Deane in the Low Brain Drifters PS13 just coming in from a test lap!
Nigel Colfer was pretty incredible out on track!
The Jury is still out on the bonnet bra.
This badass truck was seen floating around the pits lugging tyres around in the back. Fit for purpose and then some!
Dai Yoshihara was a guest driver for Driftworks, piloting their S15!
Photography is all about composition right?
This EK pulled off the BBS RS wheels perfectly!
The Driftworks S15 engine bay is awesome, you can see how much work has gone into the car including the bulkhead chop!
Wembley stadium is an awesome backdrop for the event!
Like lambs for the slaughter…
This Toyota really caught our eye, rocking the VIP look and tucking away an intercooler!
Volvos are a bit more of a common site on Youtube for drifting, this one is SR20 powered!
For the battles I managed to get myself onto the judges podium for a few quick cheeky shots!
JDM Garages very own Paul Howard was out in the “Angry Pirate”, which ended up being its last outing with them before being sold.
All that seperated the City of London from the action was some fencing. The noises were incredible though! The echoing of RB’s, JZ’s across London is something you have to experience!
Danni Murphy had a slight bit of contact with Gatis Lapan in his E30!
Walton Smith was nothing short of smokey in the Japanese Performance Parts RB26 powered Subaru Impreza!
Gatis Lapans E30 was a machine with its M5 V8 engine!
